Profession/Title: Director of Women’s Health Services/ Primary Care Physician

Description of Job:
Major responsibility is being the primary care provider/adult medicine doctor for a large female clientele. Yearly I perform annual physical examinations for these clients and see them periodically throughout the year as needed to answer any of their medical concerns and/or to follow-up on a variety of chronic medical conditions (i.e. asthma, hypertension, etc). The annual exam is usually the longest visit and allows provider and client to review preventive issues, answer health related questions, complete a full examination, and map out a treatment plan for the upcoming year. As a Director of Women’s Health Services, part of my clinical time was ‘protected’, allowing me to focus more on administrative and planning activities. These included developing new programs for women (i.e. wellness initiatives, fertility seminars, etc), and being a focal agent in planning the practice design and makeup of the needed infrastructure
